Support Training Action Group (STAG) was formed by a group of like minded training providers, from accross Scotland, at its inaugural meeting in Glasgow in 1991. The providers voted to set up a group that could speak collectively on behalf of individuals, requiring additional support, to access or enter mainstream National Training Programmes.
For over 20 years, STAG, a membership led organisation, has and continues to be recognised as the main representative group by the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Skills Development Scotland and other key associates participating in increasing employment opportunities for providers and individuals requiring additional support in Scotland.
